VAC & VMC MEETING

VMC/VAC & PTC must be constituted in the Vidyalaya as per the guidelines of NVS Hqrs. Regular conduct of the meetings must be ensured. The decisions taken during the meetings should be implemented for further growth of the vidyalaya. The details of composition of VMC/VAC & PTC, their functioins and powers have been given in details in the NVS Compendium of Circulars.
The proper functioning of VMC/VAC & PTC helps in the strengthening of cordial interpersonal relations with district authorities, parents and other local communities. Hence, it must be ensured that these systems functions effectively. Periodical reports of the conduct of VMC/VAC & PTC must be submitted to the R.O regularly.

Geography of the District

  • Honorable Member of Parliament Shri Pradeep Majhi on 13.11.10 has visited this Vidyalaya and given a remark that this JNV is the milestone to provide educational facilities to the tribal students in the remote corner of the state dominated by the tribal population and express an opinion of opening at least 04 JNVs at Malkangiri for the transformation of locality.

  • On 08.12.2012 a team under the leadership of Shri P.K.Tiwari IAS Director Ministry Human Resource Development, Govt. of India along with the District Collector cum Chairman Shri Vineel Krishna, IAS visitied this Vidyalaya and was highly impressed by seeing the quality education in backward area like Malkangiri.

  • On 07.04.2011 His Excellency Governor of Odisha Shri Murali Dhar Chandra Kanta Bhandra visited this Vidyalaya and expressed his view as very inspiring and fulfilling the vision of the best school he had visited and optimistically assured that this school will take tribal literacy ahead.

  • On 25.12.2011 Shri Balwant Singh,IAS DC cum Chairman remarked that this JNV is the changing agent of the Malkangiri District.

  • On 05.10.12 Shri Himanshu Shekhar Das, DEO Malkangiri was highly impressed by seeing the overall development and neat and clean environment of the Vidyalaya.

  • Again Honorable M.P Shri Pradeep Majhi visited this Vidyalaya on 24.11.2012 and was highly impressed by seeing the ameliorating situation of this Vidyalaya and sanguinely says that this JNV is really fulfilling the vision of the Late Rajiv Gandhi ji and he is proud to see the changes and progress of the Vidyalaya. On the same day Mrs Mamata Madhi Honourable MLA, Chitrokonda made an opinion that she was so much astonished by seeing an excellent institution like JNV, Malkangiri and it is an indeed proud to the people of Malkangiri.

  • On 25.03.2013 Dr. Abhilash Nayak, Regional Director, IGNOU , Koraput visited this Vidyalaya and was highly elated and made a remark that this school is suitable for a pace setting and role model for Education.

CONSTRUCTION AND REQUIREMENTS

(a) M. P. Hall : One Multi Purpose Hall of Vidyalaya is highly required to organize the various cultural programme, seminars and work shops.
(b) Hon’ble chairman, has already requested to Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti to provide the M. P. Hall to JNV, Malkangiri.
(c) GYM ROOM: The Vidyalaya is having a set of Multi Gym provided by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. For establishment of Multi Gym a 30’ X 30” room is required. Hon’ble Chairman, VMC has sanctioned to established the Gym Room previous Year. The work is yet to be started.
(d) Additional ro0ms are required for Junior Science Lab., Maths, Lab, Smart Class Room, NCC Room and Geography Practical Room.

PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

(a) WATER: - The school has three hand pumps to meet the emergency water crisis of the staff and students. The CPWD is yet to be installed submersible pump, 10 HP motor and Over Head Water Tank. The student and staff are facing water scarcity and apprised to NVS in this regard many times.
(b) ELECTRICITY: - Though the Vidyalaya was shifted to permanent site three years back, the permanent electrification yet to be completed by CPWD. One 25KVA D.G. set is required as per NVS norms.

  • Hon’ble Chairman is requested to provide two more tube-wells to solve the water problem and issue necessary instruction to CPWD to regularize water and electricity.

  • The VMC is requested to pursue the matter to the Commissioner, NVS to provide 25KVA DG set to the Vidyalaya.

  • The Hon’ble Chairman is requested to instruct the Executive Office NAC to provide street lights in front of the Vidyalaya.
